The Great Falls Housing Authority owns and operates Five Public Housing complexes, a Section Eight housing program and 16 units of Affordable Housing in Great Falls, Montana. The Public Housing and the Section Eight programs provide rental assistance to income eligible individuals.
The GFHA is governed by a seven-member Board of Commissioners appointed by the Great Falls City Commission. The community members of the Board serve five-year terms and the resident members serve two-year terms. All members serve without compensation. The Board contracts for staff and management services from the city of Great Falls.
The Great Falls Housing Authority has been designated by the United States Department of Housing and Urban Development as a High Performer. This much-cherished ranking not only demonstrates that we manage the housing authority at a superior level but it shows that we are here to serve our residents.
